About me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I enjoy working at Kaiser Permanente and being surrounded by such excellent physicians and a delightful staff. I look forward to working with you to care for your child. I hope this page will help you get to know me.

Biography

I was raised in Southern California. I am pleased to serve my community near home and return to my roots in Southern California after attending medical school at Columbia University in New York City. It was there that I felt my calling to help children with heart problems. I then completed my pediatrics and pediatric cardiology training at Children's Hospital Los Angeles where I was for six years before joining Kaiser Permanente. I am still constantly amazed by the strength and courage of the children I care for. It is a wonderful privilege to be a part of your child's health.

About my practice

I specialize in the evaluation and management of infants, children, and adolescents with heart disease. Whether in the office or in the hospital, I provide consultations and ongoing care. Interpreting diagnostic tests including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, fetal echocardiograms, heart rhythm monitors, and exercise tests rounds out my practice. I especially value the opportunity to explain a diagnosis and treatment approach to a member and their family because partnership in the heart health of children is my priority.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me, as family is my other priority. For exercise, we enjoy jogging at the park together with our daughter in the stroller and our dog on the leash. I also work out at home using exercise DVDs, which is very convenient way to get fit and still be at home with my family.
