Welcome to my Web site! I am one of the regional urological oncologists at Kaiser Permanente. I have been in practice here for 30 years. My roots at here run even deeper in that my stepfather was one of the original founding physicians of Kaiser Permanente 58 years ago.
Although born in the Midwest, I have spent almost my entire life in Southern California except for my undergraduate education at Brown University in Providence R.I. and a urological oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. I have been married for many years and have three terrific daughters about whom I love to brag.
I subspecialize in urological oncology (treatment of urological malignancies) and have a special interest in post-chemotherapy RPLND for testicular cancer, renal cell cancer with inferior venal caval tumor thrombut, open partial nephrectomy for kidney cancer, cystectomy with urinary diversion for bladder cancer, groin dissection for penile cancer, and open nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy.
I am firmly committed to a philosophy of stress reduction to promote health and wellness. My recreational activities for physical exercise are primarily swimming, paddle tennis, and walking our dog. My wife is attentive to providing nutritional meals.
