Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
Welcome, and thanks for visiting my Web page. For over 19 years, I have been on staff at Kaiser Permanente Panorama City. I have worked both in inpatient services and outpatient services, urgent care, and in the hospital as an internal medicine consultant.
I was raised here in Southern California, and attended college at UCLA. I am an observant Jew. This is important for my patients to know, because in observance of the Sabbath, I do not work on Friday afternoons or on any of the major Jewish festivals.
At this point in my career, I primarily see patients in the office, and work less in the hospital. I strongly believe in preventive care. However, I always remind my patients that it is not what I do in the office that will determine the health outcome; it is what you do outside the office. A healthy diet and lifestyle form the foundation of health, as well as a positive mental attitude. I believe it is important to use whatever safe and effective tools will help a patient. For this reason, I use herbal medications as part of my practice. I have a very diverse practice, and I like to develop the sort of relationship with my patients so that they feel comfortable discussing anything on their minds. This is critical to understanding how to help a particular individual.
To maintain my own health, I exercise regularly, I do not smoke, and I follow a healthy diet of predominantly fruits and vegetables. I eat meat no more than twice a week, and drink in moderation. Torah values play a major role in my life and serve as a moral compass. I meditate, and study the Talmud weekly. I try to have the best relationships with my family and friends that I can. For relaxation, I love to listen to all kinds of music.
