Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little about my background and practice. I am proud to be a Kaiser Permanente physician and am very fortunate to work with talented and dedicated colleagues.
I decided to become a physician in high school and was drawn to surgery from the start. I grew up and attended school on the East Coast and moved to Southern California during my residency. I joined the Kaiser Permanente team right out of residency and was so impressed with the care that I have stayed and made this my home for the past 25 years.
About my practice
I enjoy general surgery because of the variety of problems that I treat and the satisfaction of seeing my members feeling better as a result of their surgery. I perform a wide variety of general surgical procedures, such as hernia surgery, intestinal surgery, gallbladder and appendix removal, and breast surgery. I enjoy getting to know my members and their families.
How I thrive
I grew up with a large, extended Italian family, and family ties are very important to me. I like to spend time with them. Our summer passion is baseball and it's a good bet that we'll be at Angel Stadium when the Angels are in town. (But I won't hold it against you if you root for the Dodgers or Yankees.) I also enjoy skiing (I'm too old to snowboard), cooking, and movies.
