Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself and to tell you about my practice. I have been fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City since finishing my fellowship in arthritis surgery and total joint reconstruction in 1986.
I was born in Kentucky, but have lived in Southern California since I was six years old. I became interested in medicine at an early age and did my junior high school vocational notebook on being a doctor.. I have a wonderful wife and three super boys. I enjoy playing golf, tennis, and traveling.
About my practice
My practice consists primarily of the surgical treatment of arthritis. This involves total joint arthroplasty of the hip and knee, as well as arthroscopic surgery of the arthritic knee. I also do general orthopedics and trauma management. Our practice here in the orthopedic department at Panorama City lends itself to subspecialization in various areas, as we all have different areas of interest and fellowship training. This often gives us the opportunity to improve care by obtaining instant "second opinions" when we have interesting or confusing cases. I feel that our "team concept" of orthopedic care greatly improves patient outcomes and satisfaction.
How I thrive
I thrive by staying active and having multiple, diverse interests. I enjoy the work I do and the fact that I am able to help so many people improve the quality of their lives. In my spare time, I enjoy just relaxing with my family, teaching my youngest son to play golf, and spending time with our friends. I love spending weekends in Palm Springs, just relaxing and enjoying the desert air.
