Welcome to my Web page. I am a general surgeon with specialization in colon and rectal surgery.
I grew up in Southern California, and love it here. I completed medical school at Loma Linda University, and did my general surgery residency in the Northeast. Surgery became my passion while working with missionary surgeons in Tanzania during medical school. Following general surgery residency, I went to Florida to complete fellowships in minimally invasive surgery and colon and rectal surgery. I did additional colon and rectal surgery training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan.
My practice encompasses diseases of the colon and rectum. This includes benign diseases such as hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal fistulas, and colon and rectal cancers, as well as surgeries for inflammatory bowel disease. I work with a dedicated team of medical assistants, nurses, case managers, wound care and ostomy nurses, nutritionists, gastroenterologists, and anesthesiologists to provide an optimal experience for our patients.
I find joy in the outdoors, and maintain an active lifestyle. Favorite activities include cycling, snow skiing, scuba diving, aviation, fishing, and music.
