Where I practice
Welcome to my web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and to tell you about my work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente. I am board certified in general surgery and have been in practice for more than 15 years. The Surgery Department and my practice are located at the Downey Medical Center and Orchard Medical Offices.
I was born and raised on the East Coast in a large family. I completed my undergraduate education at MIT and received a degree in electrical engineering. Even though I liked mathematics, engineering and science, I decided to go to medical school because I was interested in becoming a surgeon. I completed my medical training in Chicago. I moved to California for my residency at Stanford University. I also performed two years of research there.
About my practice
My primary practice is the field of general surgery, which includes abdominal surgery, laparoscopic abdominal surgery and breast surgery. I specialize in pancreatic cancer surgery and advanced laparoscopic procedures. Surgery can be a stressful event for any patient and I hope we can make you feel more comfortable by explaining your diagnosis and your treatment options. It's important to answer all of your questions and to assist you on your road to health. Our team strives to include you in the decision making process. I feel honored that my patients have entrusted me with their care, and I strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
I enjoy living and working in Southern California. I live close to my whole family. I thrive by having a positive outlook and spending time with my family.
