Welcome to my Web page! I appreciate the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I believe it is extremely important for you to know your physician so that you feel comfortable with your care.
I decided to pursue a career in medicine after suffering the loss of my grandmother to end-stage renal failure. After graduating from UCLA, I worked in cancer research, and then attended medical school at UC Davis. I completed a surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I also completed a minimally invasive surgery/bariatric fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
I feel very fortunate to have joined a practice where we all work as a team. We all have a commitment to putting your needs first. I strive to keep you actively involved in your care, encouraging you to ask questions and to participate in the decision-making process. Your empowerment is important to your well-being.
I like to spend time outdoors, exercise, and travel. I am also a bit of a foodie and love discovering new cuisines. Staying active is very important to me, as is keeping a work-life balance.
