Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I am a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. Even when I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor, in part because of the compassionate care I saw my father receive in the last few years of his life. I knew that I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people’s lives, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity.
About my practice
I practice anesthesiology along with 12 full-time anesthesiologists and many nurses. We all work as a team to provide high-quality anesthesia services for members. My colleagues and I are very familiar with the different techniques available, such as spinal, epidural, and peripheral nerve blocks, as well as general anesthetics. Besides doing routine surgeries, I also do anesthesia for large abdominal, chest, vascular, and neurosurgical procedures. I have been practicing anesthesiology for over 13 years and have performed well over 20,000 anesthetic procedures.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I maintain my health by running, swimming, bicycling, and entering the occasional triathlon. I also play electric, classical, and bass guitars. I enjoy all types of music but really enjoy rock music. As a teenager in a rock band I have performed in front of well over 3,000 people.
