About me
Welcome! Thank you for visiting and taking the time to get to know me and my practice.
Biography
I grew up in Southern California and am happy to be back after having lived in a few states in between. After my training took me to Nevada and New Mexico, and having spent time in practice in Wisconsin, I have gained valuable perspectives and experience that have helped shape my practice. I was drawn back to Southern California because of my family ties and, while seasons were lovely, it is hard to beat the sunny weather year round.
About my practice
I feel that knowledge is power, and I feel that helping members better understand their bodies is one of the most important roles I can play in the healing process. As a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician (also known as a physiatrist), I specialize in treating, diagnosing, and managing disorders of the neuromuscular system. Improving a member’s quality of life has been a cornerstone of my practice. I believe that informed members are better equipped to manage their health, and I work diligently to provide them with the resources and support they need. My commitment is to provide member-centered care that promotes overall health and well-being. My mission as a physiatrist is to translate diagnoses, treatments, and recommendations into solutions, expectations, and goals.
How I thrive
For my own well-being, I always aim to incorporate mindfulness, rejuvenating food choices, and exercise practices into my life. I am a part of the American Medical Women’s Association (AMWA) and serve as a mentor to help guide medical students and rising women physicians. During my free time, I enjoy getting out of the house to find new parks or farmers markets to explore. I enjoy staying in to test out new recipes to cook with my husband. When I have time to express my creative side, I will sit down to play the piano or watercolor paint. Spending quality time with my family, friends, and my cat are also very important to me.
