Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I hope you will take a moment to get to know me and learn about my practice. I look forward to working together for the health and well-being of your child.
Born in Mumbai, India, my family moved to this country when I was a young child and I was raised mostly in Southern California. Inspired by the belief that quality health care is a basic right of every individual, I chose a path in medicine. During my medical training, I cofounded a free clinic for the poor in South Los Angeles. I continue to serve on the board of directors of the UMMA Community Clinic, which is now a "community clinic partner" with Kaiser Permanente and is the medical home for 20,000 low-income Los Angelenos.
About my practice
As a pediatrician, I feel I have a unique opportunity to work with parents to foster healthy habits in their children from a young age. While we know that healthy living and preventive care are essential to wellness, it’s important to develop and nurture these habits in early childhood to realize the full benefits throughout life. I view myself as an advocate for your child and a trusted resource for parents and caretakers. I would be honored to be your child's pediatrician and I welcome the opportunity to care for your child as I care for my own children.
How I thrive
I balance my professional life with time spent with my family. I love outings with my wife and four young children, whether it's to the mountains for a ski trip, the local park, or a Bruins' football game. In order to have the energy to keep pace with the demands of life, I squeeze in time for physical activity whenever I get a chance. I enjoy running, cycling along the beach, snow skiing, and playing basketball.
