5 ways to reduce loneliness and increase connection

There are plenty of ways to connect nowadays, but that doesn't mean we don't feel lonely sometimes. Loneliness is on the rise for many people. Making meaningful connections with others can help. Even small steps add up to help you feel more connected and less lonely.

Getting help with an unhealthy relationship

If you’re in an unhealthy relationship, or if you’re not sure, talk with your doctor or other members of your care team. Your care team can help you find support for domestic abuse or other relationship issues you’re facing. They can connect you to appropriate resources, like a social worker or therapist.

The myPlan app is an online tool to help people experiencing relationship abuse.2 It was developed by the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and is recommended by doctors in Kaiser Permanente’s Family Violence Prevention Program.

Immediate help is available in over 140 languages. You can connect with the support team over the phone at 1-800-799-SAFE (1-800-799-7233)  and via online chat at thehotline.org
