Where I practice
I always consider it a privilege, as well as a wonderful opportunity, to be able to work with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I am humbled every day by the immense amount of work, love, and diligence it takes to raise healthy, happy, and well-adjusted children. I finished my medical training in pediatrics in 1989. I completed my residency and fellowship in adult as well as child and adolescent psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University. Since 2005, I have worked for Kaiser Permanente Northwest, following 3 years of work in community mental health and private practice.
About my practice
I appreciate and respect the collaboration and ongoing support it takes to provide good care for our patients and their families — from the moment they check in at the clinic, to the time they visit their therapists, nurses, physicians, and all other members of the team. My ability to communicate and collaborate immediately with my patients' individual primary care physicians has been one of the strengths I find within the Kaiser Permanente system, one that enables me to do the best job I can every day.
- Culturally specific care: children, adolescents, transgender, eastern European, and Romanian-speaking patients
- Language capacity: English, Romanian
- Areas of focus: depression, mood disorder, anxiety disorders and ADHD
How I thrive
Being aware every day of my personal needs and following through with ways to stay healthy, focused, and kind helps me thrive. I do this by reading, listening to music, going to the cinema and theater, spending amazing quality time with my family and my friends, walking, exercising, and, finally, eating a lot of blueberries.
