About me
I was born and raised in a small coastal town in Manila, Philippines. Not a stranger to poverty and hardship around me, I grew up with a sense of resourcefulness and industry. Witnessing my parents working hard to provide a better life for me and my sister made me value my goals and achievements even more. Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to become a doctor, with a desire to help others improve their lives. Little did I know, becoming a doctor presents its own set of challenges. I received my Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines and then went on to do my residency training at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. The experience of being trained at the Philippines' number one tertiary hospital, and then at a hospital near the South Side of Chicago, enriched my medical career with contrasting views, from which I often draw clarity and discernment when I encounter difficult situations in my current practice.
About my practice
Being a family medicine doctor, I enjoy seeing patients of all ages: newborns, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. To take care of a patient is an honor in itself, and there is nothing more thrilling for me than when I find out that they chose me to take care of their family. Apart from healing and treating illness, I also enjoy the preventive aspect of medicine. I am skilled in doing office-based procedures such as joint injections, skin biopsies, and lesion removals. I also have a special interest in women's health, offering disease prevention, contraception, and prenatal care.
How I thrive
As a mother to 4 children all under the age of 7, finding time for myself is a challenge on its own. When lucky enough to have this extra time, I enjoy baking treats for my kids, trying out new recipes found online. I also find reading books both relaxing and calming, especially while putting the little one to sleep. A newfound hobby introduced by my husband is dabbling in do-it-yourself projects such as building a furry stool, a halltree, and a planter box. We also enjoy taking road trips and exploring new places as a family, be it finding an easy hiking trail, a nice lookout, or refreshing waterfalls.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
