Where I practice
A native of Northern California, I attended the University of California, Los Angeles, where I obtained my undergraduate degree in psychobiology. I had an early interest in studying the brain and its connections to the mind and body. I then ventured to the Midwest for medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, and then to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for my neurology residency. I discovered my passion for treating patients with movement disorders while in residency, and returned to UCLA to pursue subspecialty training in that field. After living across the country, I am delighted to settle in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and to grow my practice with Kaiser Permanente.
About my practice
As a board-certified neurologist with subspecialty training in movement disorders, I am passionate about pursuing the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of members with movement disorders such as parkinsonism, tremors, dystonia, chorea, and other related conditions. I am skilled in performing botulinum toxin injections to treat various movement disorders. I am also experienced in selecting candidates for deep brain stimulation surgery and in programming the deep brain stimulator. I take a humanistic approach in my practice and understand that each patient is unique. I most value connecting with my patients and treating each as a whole person. I strive to tailor specialized treatment regimens to each patient's individual needs.
How I thrive
I enjoy staying active. I make time for hiking, cycling, skiing, and hot yoga. I love exploring nature, traveling, spending time with my family, and visiting my nephew and niece.
