About me
I grew up in Washington State, in a valley at the foot-hills of the Cascade Mountains. Just after high school I lived on the East Coast for a year and realized that the Pacific Northwest with its mountains, rivers and beaches, was home. I returned and attended Central Washington University graduating with a Bachelor of Science. After graduation I spent two years working at the University of Washington in research; primarily focused on pain studies within the surgical population. I realized quickly that the my favorite part of this work was the time that I spent with the patients. I attended Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) and graduated with a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. And I have lived in and loved Portland and the surrounding area ever since.
About my practice
As a Physician Assistant (PA-C), I am a practitioner with training to diagnose and treat medical ailments and I work closely with licensed physicians. I see and treat patients in an outpatient clinical setting, surgically assist the urologists in the operating room and care for hospitalized patients. I enjoy working in urology; it is always interesting, and treatments include both life saving as well as life enhancing therapies. The people that I have met while working here at Kaiser Permanente in the Department of Urology, both the doctors and the patients, have enriched my life and it for this reason that I love what I do.
How I thrive
In short I thrive due to family and friends, and by incorporating laughter as much as possible into each day. My family and I enjoy getting to the coast, backpacking through the mountains and kayaking the rivers. I enjoy gardening, cooking, reading and walking the dog.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
