About me
I am originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After finishing medical school and residency at the University of Oklahoma I moved to Georgia, where I completed my fellowship in minimally invasive, robotic, and bariatric surgery at Emory University. My wife is a native of the Pacific Northwest, and we eagerly made our way to this beautiful area to be closer to family. The privilege of taking care of people in and out of the operating room is beyond humbling, and I look forward to opportunities to serve you.
About my practice
I am proud to be a general surgeon! While I operate on a breadth of surgical diseases, my passion is for minimally invasive and robotic surgery. My residency training at Oklahoma and fellowship training at Emory University have allowed me to focus on advanced laparoscopic and robotic approaches to complex abdominal issues including hernia surgery, anti-reflux surgery, and bariatric surgery. My philosophy to patient care is simple: "Would this care be good enough for my mother?" If it's not good enough for her, then it's not good enough for you. Plain and simple. My goal is to make you feel comfortable, well informed, and at ease with our discussions. I want to get you back on your feet and living life! I try my best to do this by addressing disease prevention, overall health and well-being, and healthy lifestyles.
How I thrive
Whether it’s distance running, road-cycling, playing soccer, or hiking, being outside is what makes me thrive. My wife and I are travel addicts and love getting out of our comfort zones and exploring new cultures. I feel that the best way to experience and learn about new cultures is through food! Being around a table with new people and sharing a meal is one of our favorite things in the world. To that end, I love cooking as well and trying new things in the kitchen. When I have downtime (hah!) I enjoy reading, spending time with my wonderful family, and cheering on my beloved Oklahoma Sooners.

Referrals to affiliated community physicians/providers in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community physicians/providers are not part of the NWPMG (Northwest Permanente Medical Group). They are physicians/providers credentialed by Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest and/or who have a contract with the NWPMG.
If your NWPMG physician decides that you require covered services not available internally from an NWPMG physician, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community physician/provider. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community physician/provider.
Referrals to affiliated community dentists in Oregon and Washington
Affiliated community dentists are not part of PDA (Permanente Dental Associates). They are dentists credentialed by PDA for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, and they have a contract with PDA.
If your PDA dentist decides that you require covered services not available internally from a PDA dentist, he or she may refer you to an affiliated community dentist. You must have a written, authorized referral from Kaiser Permanente in order to receive a covered service from an affiliated community dentist.
