About me

As a born-and-raised Oregonian, I always looked up to my grandmother who, as a registered nurse, held several nursing roles. Being a witness to her medical expertise over the years led me to pursue a career in nursing, and eventually to continue my education earning a Doctorate of Nursing Practice while training to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist. I consider it a great privilege to provide tailored anesthesia care to fellow Oregonians and to be present for someone in a moment of their lives that might provoke fear and anxiety. Having undergone surgery and anesthesia myself, I know that no matter the circumstance, having surgery can be scary. It is my sincere hope and goal that I am able to help patients through their experience by reassuring them that they are receiving safe, competent, personalized, and evidence-based anesthesia care while undergoing surgery from top surgeons.

About my practice

As an anesthesia clinician, I take care of patients as they undergo surgery or require pain management, such as during obstetric care. No two patients are alike, so I like to get a detailed history be able to customize each patient's anesthetic care for best outcomes after surgery. At Kaiser Permanente, all disciplines work as a team to coordinate the highest quality of care for our patients. It makes being a Kaiser Permanente provider easier when everyone has the same goals in mind: making the patient our focus and treating everyone as if they were our own family member.

How I thrive

To provide the best care for others, it is important to care for yourself. When I enjoy free time, it's best spent with gatherings of friends and family, going to the gym with my husband, and playing with our golden retriever, Barkley. Life is all about balance, so sometimes when we're finished at the gym, my husband and I enjoy the occasional Salt and Straw ice cream. We enjoy living and working in Portland and feel very fortunate to be a part of the community.
