Where I practice
Although I am a native New Yorker, I moved all over the country during my childhood. My family eventually settled in the Northeast, where I completed my undergraduate and medical school training. As freshly minted doctors, my wife, a child neurologist, and I moved to San Francisco to complete our postgraduate training. I chose radiology because I have always been amazed by the power of imaging to unveil disease with the finest of detail. After residency, I completed a fellowship in interventional radiology with the goal of spending more time with patients, managing the very diseases I diagnosed with minimally invasive procedures. I am very excited to be carrying on my career at Northwest Permanente and serving the greater Portland community.
About my practice
The Department of Radiology is committed to providing the highest quality care to its patients. I am very fortunate to be a part of this dedicated and caring community of radiologists. Trained in both diagnostic and interventional radiology I am positioned to help patients both understand their ailments and manage them. Being a Kaiser Permanente physician allows me to practice in both arenas, which I believe optimizes the care I can provide to my patients.
How I thrive
In my time outside of the hospital, I enjoy an active lifestyle. Running, hiking, skiing, and surfing are some of my favorite hobbies. I relish time with my family, exploring the landscape and eating our way around the Pacific Northwest. I am a proponent of meditation, to maintain balance in our lives. While it is challenging for me to meditate on a regular basis, I continually strive to make it a practice.
