I speak: English
My gender: Female
Where I practice
I was born in New Zealand and am of Maori descent. My family immigrated to Hawaii when I was a child and I grew up on the Northern and Eastern shores of Oahu. I completed my undergraduate degree in Boulder, Colorado then returned to Hawaii for medical school and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn).
About my practice
I chose to practice Ob/Gyn medicine because I value the deep and lasting relationships I am able to develop with my patients. I cherish the intimate details, personal struggles and life-changing moments which I am fortunate to experience with them. I feel most satisfied when I am able to empower women to achieve their highest level of health and wellness. I also have a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and holistic care. I enjoy working within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group because of the tremendous support we’re given, as well as the ease with which I am able to coordinate care among my colleagues in various specialties.
How I thrive
I spend most of my free time with my family and friends hiking the gorgeous Hawaiian mountain trails or diving into the refreshing ocean waves. I love traveling to international destinations and experiencing differences in cultures. I also enjoy using my medical skills for the betterment of others by participating in mission work during my longer vacations.
