Kaiser Permanente Medicare health plans include benefits beyond Original Medicare to help you thrive. Plus, as a Kaiser Permanente member, you have access to discounted services, programs, and resources. Whether you are new to Kaiser Permanente or have been a member for years, check out these incredible benefits available to you to support your health and well-being.

Preventive dental services through Delta Dental

Our individual Medicare health plans cover certain preventive dental care through the DeltaCare® USA Medicare plan offered by Delta Dental of California. Some basic preventive, diagnostic, and periodontal services are covered, such as two oral exams and cleanings per year.

Learn how to use your dental benefits

Refer to your Evidence of Coverage for full benefit details. To learn more about your dentist or select a new dentist online, visit kp.org/dental/ca/medicare. Under “Find a dentist,” enter your home ZIP code and select “DeltaCare USA Medicare” as your network. You can also call Delta Dental Customer Service at 1-877-644-1774 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; 7 days a week, October 1–February 15, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Medi-Cal Medicare health plan members

For members in a Kaiser Permanente Dual Complete (HMO D-SNP) plan, certain dental services, including but not limited to cleanings, fillings, and dentures, may be available through the Medi-Cal Dental Program or FFS Medi-Cal. For information on Medi-Cal dental coverage, call Smile California at 1-800-322-6384 (TTY 1-800-735-2922) or go to SmileCalifornia.org.

One Pass® Fitness Program [See footnote 1]

Through Advantage Plus or as a Medi-Cal Medicare member, you gain access to One Pass, which provides access to gyms, workout classes, online workouts, tools for brain health, and social connection events.

How to get started with the One Pass program

Once you're a Kaiser Permanente Medicare health plan member, follow these steps: 

  1. Visit youronepass.com.
  2. Click "Get started" to register. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Health Plan Member ID.
  3. Once you're registered, you'll receive a Member Code. Be sure to write down your code and keep it handy. You will need to enter it each time you register for a new fitness location or other One Pass service.
  4. Start searching for gyms by clicking on the "Find a gym" page. 

You may also call One Pass toll free at 1-877-614-0618 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., to receive your member code.

Medi-Cal Medicare health plan members

The One Pass program is also available to Dual Complete (HMO D-SNP) plan members.

BOLD – Fitness from your home

If you have access to One Pass, you also have access to BOLD. Through the BOLD app, you’ll receive a customized, ongoing exercise program you can do from the comfort of your home.

BOLD is specifically designed for older adults to build strength, reduce pain, improve balance, help prevent falls, and support bladder health. These clinically backed programs are tailored to your interests and health needs, and include both on-demand and live exercise classes.

We cover routine eye exams (eye refraction exams) to determine your needs for vision correction and to provide a prescription for eyeglass lenses or contact lenses.

Eyewear allowance (Advantage Plus)

Individual Medicare health plan members can add Advantage Plus to get an eyewear allowance to use toward the purchase of prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses once every 24 months from a plan optical facility. A prescription is required. To learn more, download the Advantage Plus brochure (PDF) or visit the website. The Advantage Plus optional supplemental benefits package is only available to members enrolled in or have recently applied for coverage in a Kaiser Permanente Medicare health plan. Not available under the Kaiser Permanente Dual Complete (HMO D-SNP) plan.

Your allowance can be used to pay for the following items:

  • Eyeglass lenses when a network provider puts lenses into a frame.
  • Eyeglass frames when a network provider puts two lenses (at least one of which must have refractive value) into the frame.
  • Contact lenses, fitting, and dispensing.

Medi-Cal Medicare members

Dual-eligible members in Kaiser Permanente Dual Complete plan get a $350 eyewear allowance to use toward the purchase of prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses once every 12 months from a plan optical facility. A prescription is required.

Medi-Cal Medicare members

For members in a Kaiser Permanente Dual Complete (HMO D-SNP) plan, our over-the-counter (OTC) benefit is designed to make it easier — and more affordable — to get the everyday health items you need. You'll receive a healthy extras card with a preloaded OTC allowance that will be refreshed quarterly. Use it like a debit card to purchase at over 70,000 participating retail stores and online.

To download the mobile app, search "OTC Network" in your app store.

If you previously had an OTC card, it will no longer be active starting January 1, 2026. This new healthy extras card will replace your old card.

Our Medicare health plans cover diagnostic hearing tests to check if you need hearing correction or to make a diagnosis when you think you’re having a hearing problem. You can get a diagnostic audiology test at the copay that’s described in your Evidence of Coverage. If you think you’re losing your hearing, call the Kaiser Permanente Audiology Department. Hearing aid evaluations to help your hearing care professional recommend the correct hearing aid for you and confirm that the aid matches your prescription are covered at no extra charge. Kaiser Permanente Audiology will also test your hearing aids at no extra charge to make sure they’re working properly.

Hearing services for Kaiser Permanente members are provided by our Kaiser Permanente Audiology Department. Hearing aid benefit (Advantage Plus)

Hearing aid coverage is available to Medicare individual health plan members as part of our optional Advantage Plus package.
