Kauai, Lanai, and Molokai Network Providers
In addition to our own physicians who practice at the Lihue Clinic on Kauai, we contract with independent physicians and other clinicians to provide primary and specialty care for our members on the islands of Kauai, Lanai, and Molokai.
You don’t need a referral to make appointments for the following services and departments within our network of providers:
- Alcohol and drug treatment
- Behavioral Health Services (Mental health outpatient care)
- Eye examinations for glasses and contact lenses
- Family Medicine
- Health Education
- Internal Medicine
- Medication counseling
- Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Pediatrics
- Social Work
Any services not listed above are considered specialty services. You will need an authorized referral from your primary care physician before seeing a specialist.
You can search for participating network physicians, using our online directory.
Added Choice
For members enrolled in the Kaiser Permanente Added Choice plan, Kaiser Permanente contracts with a wide range of health care providers throughout the State of Hawaii. If you choose to receive care from one of these providers, you will generally pay a greater share of the cost than if you receive care at Kaiser Permanente.
You can find out-of-network physicians in the Added Choice directory (PDF).
