Welcome to my Web page! I will first start by letting you know that I am passionate about my field and enjoy working in such a well-integrated system that is Kaiser Permanente.
I was born in Egypt and moved to Los Angeles at a young age. I've wanted to be a surgeon since I had surgery myself as a child. I did my undergraduate training at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and attended medical school at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Medical Honor Society in my senior year, and earned my medical degree in 2003. I then moved back to Los Angeles to complete my general surgery training at USC+LAC Medical Center. This is where I became interested in thoracic surgical diseases. I completed my general surgery training and then moved with my wife and two young boys to St. Louis, Missouri, and in 2011 finished my training in cardiothoracic surgery with a focus on general thoracic surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University.
I am truly passionate about my field, and I strive to give members the same type of care that I would give to my own family. Thoracic surgical diseases are often challenging both surgically and emotionally for patients, and I make it my goal to guide my patients along these difficult paths.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and playing with my two boys as much as possible.
