Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this opportunity to introduce my practice and myself to you. I am proud to be working with my wonderful colleagues and patients at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to working with you toward achieving optimal health.
Even when I was a young child, I knew that I wanted to be a doctor. I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people’s lives, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity. I grew up in Huntington Beach and went to UC Irvine for my undergraduate degrees. After college, I was commissioned as a United States Navy officer and attended the military medical school in Bethesda, Maryland, and that is where I met my wife of over 20 years. I spent 14 years in the Navy seeing the world and having incredible experiences, both personally and professionally. In fact, my youngest son was born in Okinawa, Japan. I have been with Kaiser Permanente for over 10 years, and I could not be happier. I am truly blessed to be in the position that I am.
About my practice
For me, my practice affords a very special opportunity to connect with and really help others, utilizing medical skills and knowledge but also listening and responding to what my patients need. It is a privilege to help them understand their medical conditions, translate what they may not grasp, facilitate getting them the appropriate evaluations, and communicate with them and their families.
How I thrive
My family life is my highest priority outside of work. My wife, two sons, and I enjoy summer road trips and quiet family time at home. I also make it a priority to set aside time to just relax, read a good novel, or watch sports.
