Where I practice
About me
I am a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in hematology and oncology at Kaiser Permanente. It is a privilege to care for members and their families through every step of their cancer journey. I’d like to share a little about myself, and I look forward to getting to know you.
Biography
I grew up in Baltimore and completed my undergraduate studies at Cornell University in upstate New York. I then spent more than a decade at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, where I received my medical training. In 2008, my wife and I moved to Southern California with our baby boy to begin a new chapter. Today, our family has grown to 5, and we feel blessed to call this region our home.
About my practice
I am proud to be part of the hematology/medical oncology team at Kaiser Permanente’s Fontana Medical Center. I care for members with a broad spectrum of conditions ranging from benign blood disorders to complex cancers. My goal is to work in partnership with members and their loved ones to optimize both health outcomes and quality of life through compassionate care based on evidence and current research.
Cancer Subspecialty Focus
My clinical expertise includes the management of complex hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and benign blood disorders. I treat a wide range of cancers, including breast cancer, lung and thymic cancers, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, skin cancers such as melanoma, and thyroid and endocrine tumors.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
At Kaiser Permanente, we believe that positive outcomes come from team-based care. I work closely with colleagues across specialties and participate in our multidisciplinary thoracic tumor board, where experts in medical oncology, surgery, radiation oncology, and pathology collaborate to design personalized treatment plans for each member, from diagnosis through survivorship.
Research and Clinical Trials
I am dedicated to advancing cancer care through clinical research as part of the National Cancer Institute’s Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). As a sub-investigator, I contribute to national studies through collaborations with the SWOG Cancer Research Network, the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and NRG Oncology. These efforts help bring innovative therapies and emerging science directly to our patients.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our 3 wonderful children, who are a constant source of joy. We are active in our church community, where faith plays a central role in maintaining balance and personal well-being.
