Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. Thank you for taking some time to learn more about my practice.
I was born in Los Angeles County. I’ve also had the chance to live in the Bay Area and Orange Country. I came to San Diego on a whim but soon fell in love with “America’s Finest City.” Meeting my wife here cemented the decision to make this my home. My great-grandfather was one of the first western-style doctors in China, so my choice of profession is probably an expression of this lineage. I chose pediatrics because of the joy children bring into our lives. Helping children mature into healthy men and women is one of the most rewarding jobs on Earth. I have a son that was born in January 2014, so if you're a new parent I know how exhausting, stressful and ultimately rewarding "parenthood" can be.
About my practice
I try to make your visits with me feel like visiting a small practice. I believe in personalized medicine and doing things to prevent illness rather than just reacting to symptoms. I hope that we can be partners in helping your children reach their full potential.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. My interests and hobbies change over time. Right now, I swim and bike for exercise. I think it is really important to unplug from our overly connected lives and reunite with nature on a regular basis. I go camping every year. My guilty pleasure is still working my way through a big stack of comic books, and I don’t think that will ever change. I think the best things you can do for your health is to have a little fun every day, laugh, and do something silly. Life is short, so we might as well try to make it a little sweeter.
