Where I practice
Greetings and welcome to my Web page! Congratulations to you on your pregnancy. This is an exciting time as you prepare for your amazing journey towards parenthood. It is my hope that I can relieve your fears and concerns through a collaborative approach with a caring and compassionate touch. I thoroughly enjoy my practice. It is so rewarding to work at Kaiser Permanente, where I have the opportunity to participate in the care of many wonderful people.
I am a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and from a very young age, I always knew that I wanted to be a physician. After I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I pursued a Master of Public Health because I wanted to promote the health and wellness of women. I completed my medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, residency training in Ob/Gyn at Emory University, and fellowship training in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. My life experiences range from competing for Miss America to participating in a wide range of community service activities.
About my practice
I am a maternal-fetal medicine specialist (or perinatologist) who specializes in high-risk pregnancies. A perinatologist is an obstetrician with additional training in pregnancies that are complicated by maternal or fetal factors that could lead to problems. My mission is to provide quality health care to women and form a bond with them for a lifetime. My greatest reward is the ability to have a positive impact on women and their families. I feel honored that our members have entrusted me with their care, so in return I strive to treat them as I would my own family. I look forward to caring for you during your pregnancy.
How I thrive
I strive to set an example by living a healthy and balanced life. I am a proud lifetime member of Weight Watchers, which has helped me to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy spinning and Pilates, and I have discovered a new joy with yoga. I also love to travel and consider myself a foodie, both of which have broadened my horizons. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my family and I treasure every moment that I spend with them.
