About me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I am happy to have the opportunity to share some information about myself. I know that the gynecologist’s office can be a nerve-wracking place, so hopefully these details will help you feel more comfortable when we meet.
Biography
I grew up in sunny San Diego and will always be a California girl at heart. I spent my youth committed to ballet and tap dancing, but through my father’s influence, I became an avid sports fan. My love for NCAA sports drew me to UCLA for college, and I was lucky enough to be living in Boston when the Red Sox won the World Series. My passion for women’s health was born during my first summer in medical school, when I volunteered at a maternity hospital and infectious disease women’s clinic in Quito, Ecuador. I cherish the relationships I have made with members over the years, and it is these experiences that make me eager to come to work every day.
About my practice
My practice style fits well with the Kaiser Permanente model of healthy living, in that I put a priority on preventive medicine and on health care based on evidence and current research. I believe that people deserve comprehensive medical care and appreciate the team approach that Kaiser Permanente provides. I strive to provide personalized care and encourage our members to email or call my office with any concerns.
How I thrive
I live well by staying active. My time away from work is spent with my husband, son, friends, and family and typically involves cooking, baking, hiking, golfing, dancing, or spending time at the beach. I am also a dedicated runner and have survived two marathons and several half marathons. Lastly, I changed my last name after getting married in May 2014, so some members may remember me as Dr. Wilson.
