Where I practice
I am pleased to have the opportunity to present my credentials and share other information about myself to you. It's important that you feel comfortable with your child's personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I'm a native Southern Californian. My desire to pursue a career in medicine arose from my experience with the Los Angeles County hospital system when I was younger. I knew that I wanted to be able to make a real difference in people's lives, and being a physician gives me that opportunity. Prior to working at Kaiser Permanente, I worked for the National Health Service Corps for three years and worked with underserved communities in Connecticut and East Los Angeles. My desire to pursue a career in pediatrics arose from my lifelong interest in children. Not only am I able to take care of their medical needs but I'm also able to witness their physical, emotional, and social growth. This makes pediatrics a most rewarding profession.
About my practice
I enjoy taking care of kids and their families and helping them understand what they might find unfamiliar or confusing. I value good communication, and Kaiser Permanente provides some excellent tools to help with that. For instance, members can email my office with follow-up questions, and with Kaiser Permanente's automated medical record system, access to medical information is fast and secure, so I can stay up to date on their treatments, tests, and progress.
How I thrive
My family life is my major priority. When my children were younger, we enjoyed our family vacations to the national parks, especially Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National. My wife, four sons, and I also enjoyed camping trips to the local beaches. Now, we try to remain active by running at least three times per week. My wife, children and I have ran half and full marathons together.
