About me

Hello, I’m Dr. Sinora Shrestha Joshi. I’m delighted to have the chance to share a bit about myself and my professional background. Making sure that you feel at ease with your personal physician is very important to me, and I hope this page provides you with valuable insights into who I am and what I stand for.

Biography

I come from a small, beautiful country in Southeast Asia called Nepal. Growing up in this vibrant and culturally rich environment deeply influenced my values and outlook on life. I completed both my schooling and medical education in the capital city, Kathmandu, where I was surrounded by a community that nurtured my passion for medicine. From a young age, it has always been my dream to become a physician.

During medical school, my interest in working with kids began to blossom. I found that I had a natural affinity for pediatric care, and the more I learned, the more I realized how rewarding it is to contribute to the well-being of children. I am particularly passionate about preventive healthcare, believing that early intervention and guidance can lay a strong foundation for a child's long-term health and development. I am fluent in Nepali and Hindi. My journey as a physician is driven by a deep commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families, one step at a time.

About my practice

As a pediatrician, I feel that my role extends beyond just taking care of the child — I am supporting the entire family. I love hearing the stories my patients and their families share about their experiences, milestones, and fun activities. These conversations help build a strong rapport and allow me to better understand their lives, which is essential for providing personalized care.

Preventive care is a cornerstone of my practice. I am passionate about educating families on how to prevent illnesses before they occur, which is why I prioritize discussing healthy lifestyle choices, nutrition, and regular checkups. I am a strong advocate for vaccines, which play a critical role in protecting children from serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. I believe that technology, when used appropriately, has the potential to revolutionize healthcare, even in pediatrics.

I also respect other forms of medicine and appreciate the diversity of approaches in healthcare. As long as these methods are safe and have the child’s best interest at heart, I value the perspectives they bring. My goal is always to provide high-quality care, supporting not only the physical health of my young patients but also their emotional and mental well-being.

How I thrive

My family is my life, and my work is my passion. I truly believe that both aspects of my life help me thrive and motivate me to be the best version of myself every day. Spending quality time with my loved ones, especially my husband and son, brings me immense joy and fulfillment. We love exploring new places together, whether it's traveling to different destinations or visiting various theme parks, where we create unforgettable memories filled with laughter and adventure. Traveling and trying new foods allow me to experience different cultures and broaden my horizons. I also enjoy music and movies, which provide relaxation and inspiration. Spending time with close friends and family brings me happiness, as these moments of connection and joy are truly what life is about.

In my professional life, I am committed to building strong relationships with my patients and their families. I make it a priority to get to know them on a personal level, understanding their stories, needs, and concerns. This approach helps me provide high-quality care, tailoring my guidance and treatment to fit each unique situation. I am always eager to learn and find new ways to be of service, so that I can support the health and well-being of my patients and their families.
