About me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am excited to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I would like to present my credentials to make sure that you feel comfortable and confident in my abilities to treat you as a patient.
Biography
I was born in India, lived in East Africa for about seven years, and then migrated to the United States when I was Impressed by the local physicians' skills and compassion, I wanted to be a doctor since second grade. I did not think of anything else other than medical profession. I have a wife of 20 years, who is a Kaiser Permanente physician as well, and two kids: a son who is at Cornell University and a daughter who just entered high school. My hobbies are running (participated in two half marathons, wish to do more), bicycling, swimming, yoga, and music (learned to play Indian drums called table).
About my practice
I am a full time urgent care physician at the Kaiser Permanente Harbor MacArthur Medical Offices. What I most enjoy about my work is seeing variety of patients, evaluating and treating challenging conditions, the satisfaction of seeing patients dramatically improve, and the close teamwork with nurses and colleagues. My work philosophy for taking care of members is to be a good listener, show respect for their concerns, and treat them like they are your family member. I also believe in establishing relationship with patients in such a way that they feel at ease. I remind myself that my time spent at work should be meaningful and fulfilling since I spend 12 hours a day at work.
How I thrive
My wife and I believe in a holistic and simple approach to life, including our health, our relationships, and our work. In our free time at home, we do yoga breathing and stretching exercises, have run half marathons, go for massage therapy, and are trying to learn semi classical Indian vocal music. I am also learning how to play Indian drums called tabla. We believe that by having a simple approach to life, one can have mind, body, and spirit in balance.
