About me

I am grateful to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you and share some information about my practice as an internal medicine physician. I feel it is important to choose a primary care physician that you feel is the right fit for you. I look forward to working with you to improve your health.

Biography

I am originally from Los Angeles. I attended college at UC Berkeley, where I first developed a passion for primary care and preventive medicine. I then moved to Chicago for medical school and stayed to complete my internal medicine residency at Cook County Hospital and Rush University Medical Center. I feel privileged to have trained somewhere that gave me both a great education on how to manage complex medical conditions and the opportunity to provide care to underserved and vulnerable patients. Though I loved the four seasons and snow (honestly!) in the Midwest, I am happy to now be back home in Southern California and close to family.

About my practice

As a primary care physician, my goal is to provide member-centered care and medicine based on evidence and current research, in a way that is both thorough and efficient to make the best use of our time together. When it comes to ordering tests and prescribing medications, I believe in a “less is more” approach, but I like to explain my thought process so you can understand the reasoning behind my recommendations. I feel the ideal doctor-patient relationship is one of mutual respect where we work together to achieve your goals. I want you to actively participate in the decision-making process and take control of your health to prevent and manage chronic illnesses in a way that fits your lifestyle.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is something I am constantly trying to become better at. My husband and I like to maintain an active lifestyle and spend time outdoors. When we are not spending time with family and friends, we are either thinking of names for our future dog or rooting for my husband’s hometown team, the Buffalo Bills.
