Where I practice
Hello! Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in Chicago, Illinois. My family moved to Los Angeles for the great weather when I was 10 years old. I completed my schooling here in the Los Angeles area. I went to high school in Torrance. I received my bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences at UC Riverside, and then went to medical school at UCLA. Afterwards, I completed the Family Medicine Residency program at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. I am married with two young children. My family is a blessing for me and is one of my highest priorities.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I expect shared responsibility from my patients. I am here to help guide you and keep you well or get you better, but it is still your responsibility to follow through and to actively do positive things for your health. If there is something wrong, I will be tactfully up front and direct with you. Honesty is best so I can treat you to the best of my abilities. In general I think the less medication the better, unless it really needed. I also do my best to appropriately minimize the use of potentially addictive medications. I work with a wonderful team of nurses and doctors, and we look forward to helping you thrive.
How I thrive
My hobbies include computers and music. I am active at my church. I enjoy playing with my kids. I also love the precious limited time that my wife and I have to hang out without the kids. My family and religion are what keep me sane in this hectic and sometimes chaotic world.
