Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. It is a pleasure to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente because of the fantastic people that I work with and our dedication to helping each member with their individual health care needs.
I was born and raised in Southern California. I learned to speak Spanish fluently living in Colombia for almost two years prior to college. I went into the Army Medical Corps upon graduating medical school, and received great training and experience caring for our wonderful troops, retirees, and their families. Following my active duty service, I worked in a wonderful Northern California community for 11 years before returning to the South Bay with my family. My wife and I have four children. We love the outdoors, especially the beach. We enjoy traveling together as a family.
About my practice
There’s a saying: "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I encourage my patients live a healthy lifestyle to prevent problems and to get preventive tests in order to catch problems early. I want to be your partner in caring for your health, and I want you to be knowledgeable so that you can be actively involved in your health and medical care.
How I thrive
My family and my faith are sources of great joy and fulfillment in my life. I strive to live a balanced life, making time for regular exercise and worship. My exercise routine takes on many forms, including running, cycling, snow sports, and surfing. I like to stay motivated by training for a long-term goal each year, such as a long-distance race or trip.
