About me
Welcome! My name is Dr. Cafaro. Thank you for visiting my Web page.
Biography
I want members to know that I believe them, that their concerns will be taken seriously, and that they can trust I will treat them with the same kindness and respect I would want for myself or a family member. I grew up on the East Coast and moved to Southern California because I love being outdoors and appreciate the beautiful weather and beaches here. I was drawn to Kaiser Permanente's team-based approach to medicine, and I'm grateful to be able to care for members in this community.
About my practice
I chose obstetrics and gynecology because I love caring for patients across the reproductive spectrum through every stage of life. I feel strongly about reproductive rights and believe my role is to provide information that is based on evidence and current research, to partner in shared decision-making, and to support each member's individual goals and values.
My clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, fibroids, endometriosis, gender-affirming care, and family planning. I practice full scope obstetrics/gynecology care, and I feel it is a privilege to support members through all stages of their lives, from treating gynecologic conditions to childbirth. Preventive care is central to how I practice medicine. I emphasize screening, member education, and early intervention so we can address concerns before they become larger problems.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I prioritize a healthy lifestyle with regular exercise and time outdoors, whether that's a workout, a walk in the sunshine, or enjoying the beach.
