Where I practice
Hello, I know many times our members don't get to meet their anesthesiologists before surgery, so I'm glad to have a chance to introduce myself here.
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA (Go Steelers!), and have slowly been migrating west ever since (from med school in Cincinnati to residency in San Francisco). I spent a few years in private practice in the Bay Area before moving down south to sunny San Diego to join the Kaiser Permanente team. Like most people who move to California, and most Kaiser Permanente physicians, I have no intention of ever leaving this beautiful place.
About my practice
I have always found anesthesiology to be an exciting and rewarding discipline, unfortunately, I know this can be a very stressful time for our members. I'm honored to be part of the team responsible for their ultimate well being during the entire perioperative period. My passion is delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, with a team of like-minded professionals, and I specifically chose to join the Kaiser Permanente family for this reason.
How I thrive
Outside of the hospital, I have the joy (and the challenges) that come with caring for a new daughter at home. In addition to introducing her to everything San Diego has to offer, my wife and I enjoy running, going to the beach, traveling, and exploring new restaurants when we get a night to ourselves.
