Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page.
I was in private practice in Ventura County for 20 years until 2007, when I joined Kaiser Permanente. Through the years, I have been lucky to help in the births of more than 4,000 children in Ventura County. I am so impressed with how Kaiser Permanente has supported me in practicing member-centered medicine, what I call person-to-person care. I was born, raised, and educated in Southern California. I have traveled extensively; but, I love living and working here in West Ventura County. I became a physician to center my life on helping people improve the quality of their lives. I hope that I have had a positive impact on the lives of my patients over the years. I try each day to continue this vision.
About my practice
I continue to love the practice of Ob/Gyn and share the joy of birth with new parents. My training has included a broad spectrum of care, which, along with ongoing education, has allowed me to perform additional services, including minimally invasive, pelvic floor support, and incontinence surgeries. I also teach residents from UCLA Medical Center who are in training at Community Memorial Hospital. I try to partner with each patient to help meet his or her health care needs and goals. I have continued to enrich my knowledge through caring for my patients and by staying up to date with the latest technologies, which include minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. I treat disorders of the pelvic floor, including urinary incontinence, and prolapse. I am a member of the American Urogynecologic Society. I have been lucky enough to treat multiple generations in families, from adolescents to seniors. I work with a wonderfully supportive staff and partner physician
How I thrive
Its difficult with a busy clinic and hospital schedule to always have some balance in my life; however, I love to read, so I spend four to five hours a week listening to audio books, either at the gym while I work out or while on long walks with my yellow Labrador Retriever. I hike regularly in the local hills and, whenever possible, in the Sierra Nevada mountains. I love to ski, and sailing is also a passion. I keep an organic vegetable garden in my backyard most of the year. I like spending time with family (my wife and I have two daughters and a son hopefully grandchildren soon), and I love attending USC football games, which is now a 30-year tradition. Mostly, I love to laugh till I cry with loved ones and friends.
