About me
I'd like to welcome you to my personal Web page. I hope this page will give you some brief insights into my practice and also me as a person. It's important to me that we develop a strong patient-physician relationship. Since I will be getting to know you in some detail, this will allow you to get to know a little about me. I look forward to becoming your advocate, guide, and partner in health care.
Biography
I was born in Switzerland and moved to Southern California with my family when I was about a year old. I grew up in the Orange County town of Cypress, where my parents still live. My undergraduate education was at Pomona College in Claremont and from there I went to UCLA Medical School. I did my residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, and upon finishing in 1996, I joined Kaiser Permanente as a staff physician in the Long Beach Medical Offices. I now live in the Orange County area with my wife and two children. I decided to settle down in Orange County, close to where I grew up since I felt it was an ideal place to raise a family.
About my practice
I enjoy being able to practice medicine in a setting where I can focus on patients and not have to worry about overhead, administrative hassles, and insurers. My basic philosophy of practicing medicine is that a doctor and patient should be partners in the maintenance of health. I welcome your questions and input on how to best stay healthy. You can always contact my office with any questions, concerns, or comments either by email through the Kaiser Permanente Web site or by calling the appointment center and leaving a message.
How I thrive
I enjoy traveling, going to movies and the theatre, and reading or sometimes listening to audio books. My family is a top priority for me, so I'm glad to be able to have enough time to stay very involved with my children's school and their after-school activities. I try to keep healthy both physically and mentally by exercising daily and having a work schedule that allows me to spend quality time with my family.
