Welcome to my Web page. I feel very blessed to be a psychiatrist and to be able to serve the San Diego community with Kaiser Permanente.
I was born and raised in San Diego. My father coached for many years at San Diego State University, and my mother worked as a local teacher. I grew up loving to learn and be active. I did my undergraduate work at Cornell University, majoring in Spanish literature, before going to medical school at the State University of New York at Buffalo. I completed my residency in Buffalo and later worked directing a partial hospitalization program there. Although I appreciated my education and training in New York, I longed to be back home and was delighted to accept a job working for Kaiser Permanente, where I had been a member as a child.
I am board certified in adult psychiatry. I work as part of a team of therapists, nurses, and other physicians at the Bostonia clinic. We offer a variety of services, including group and individual treatments.
My spiritual life, family, and friends are very important to me. I also enjoy reading, hiking, running, volleyball, and being a local tourist.
