Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente and look forward to helping you if you ever need my care.
I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I trained at the University of Michigan in a six year medical program and also completed my neurology residency there. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1990. I have received board certifications in neurology, clinical neurophysiology and electrodiagnostic medicine. In 2003, with generous support from Kaiser Permanente, I completed a neuro-oncology fellowship at UCLA and received UCNS Subspecialty Certification in neuro-oncology. Since then, I have directed the regional neuro-oncology program at the Los Angeles Medical Center, primarily focusing on the treatment of brain tumors.
About my practice
Most of my time is spent caring for members with brain tumors. I am supported by an outstanding team that includes a physician assistant and a clinical coordinator. I am involved in clinical research in glioblastoma multiforme (a very aggressive type of brain tumor). I also perform electrodiagnostic studies of the peripheral nervous system, injections of botulinum toxin for movement disorders, and general neurology consultations. Outside of neuro-oncology, I am interested in neuromuscular disorders and neuro-ophthalmology.
How I thrive
I am married and am lucky to have four beautiful children. I enjoy reading and studying classical guitar.
