Welcome to my Web page. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your nephrologist, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I was born in Nashville, Tennessee, but I grew up in the Philippines. I was inspired to be a doctor partly because my father is a physician who has served the rural people in his home province of Pampanga. I realized early on that charity, humility, and compassion make a real difference in people’s lives. I have chosen to practice medicine because it gives me the opportunity to help and care for others.
Renal medicine is a diverse, challenging, stimulating, and highly technical specialty. In an average week, I see patients who have a wide range of kidney diseases, including acute emergencies, chronic renal diseases, and electrolyte disorders. Many of my patients have diseases that require consulting with other specialists. I have enjoyed my practice of medicine and find it rewarding from both academic and hands-on perspectives.
Living a balanced life is very important to me. Outside of work, my priorities are spending time with my family and setting aside time to relax and enjoy life.
