Welcome to my Web page. I hope this will allow you to know me better. It is very important you feel comfortable when selecting your specialist.
I grew up in Northern California. After high school, I went to the East Coast for college. After college, I spent some time working for the American Red Cross headquarters in New York City. I then attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. After almost a decade in snow country, I realized how much I missed sunny California and decided to come back for residency, fellowship training and work. I have found Southern California to be a perfect place for me to settle down and raise a family.
I've always enjoyed listening to people's stories and learning about their cultures and background. This is one of the reasons I pursued medicine as a career. Medicine is based on strong, close interpersonal relationships. In my opinion, this is something no other profession really offers. I believe everyone has a unique story to share and it is a privilege for me to hear it from my patients. Most importantly, medicine allows me to make a real difference in the world by helping one individual at a time.
Personal health and fitness is very important to me. I believe one must take care of his own health first so that he can properly take care of his family and patients. I especially enjoy tennis, jogging and cycling. I also try to get to the gym once or twice weekly. During my leisure time, I enjoy reading especially about history, culture and nonsensical factoids. The rest of my free time is spent taking care of my family or enjoying a nice conversation with some friends.
