About me
Welcome to my Web page! I’m thrilled to have this chance to share a little about myself. I’m a pediatrician and work both at Fontana and Ontario medical centers doing primarily newborn care in both Family Centered Care Unit and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). I did my training in pediatrics at UCLA's David Geffen School of Medicine. Afterward, I worked at Cedars Sinai Medical Center for several years and was excited to have the opportunity to join the Kaiser Permanente team in 2013!
Biography
I have the good fortune to have had a diverse upbringing. I was born in India and lived there with my grandparents until the age of 5. Then I joined my parents in England for the majority of my schooling. I moved to Maine with my family right before starting college and then went to medical school in New York, which is where I met my husband. He’s a Southern California boy who persuaded me to leave the East Coast for sunny California—now I love living here! Throughout my travels, my passion has been for helping children. I’ve spent time volunteering in several orphanages in India, and that really molded my desire to dedicate my career to caring for kids.
About my practice
I primarily work with newborns in the Family Centered Care Unit and the NICU. I love what I do, as it allows me to care for both happy full-term babies and also the unwell preterm babies. We offer a multidisciplinary team approach, and each baby has the benefit of being cared for by a wonderful team of nursing, respiratory, lactation, dietary and other consultative staff. Because our team has expertise in different areas, we’re able to take care of these babies as a whole, and help them throughout their hospitalization.
How I thrive
I’m a firm believer in total body health and commit to meditation, running, and cycling weekly. I try to stay active so I can keep up with my greatest joys—my husband and my three little munchkins. We spend lots of family time at soccer, baseball, gymnastics, the pool, and visiting grandparents down in Laguna Beach.
