Where I practice
About me
I am a board-certified medical oncologist specializing in hematology and oncology. I chose to become a physician because I enjoy helping people and supporting them through challenging times in their health journey.
Biography
My career in medicine has been driven by a commitment to caring for patients with complex medical conditions. As a hematologist and oncologist, I focus on helping members navigate their diagnoses and treatment options with compassion, knowledge, and personalized care.
About my practice
In my practice, I care for members with both cancer and blood disorders. My goal is to help members understand their condition and work together to manage their disease with thoughtful treatment plans that are based on evidence and current research. I treat members with a wide range of cancers as well as benign hematologic conditions, and I prioritize clear communication and supportive care throughout the treatment journey.
My Cancer Subspecialty Focus
My cancer subspecialty focus includes gastrointestinal cancers, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, genitourinary cancers, cutaneous malignancies, lung cancer and thymoma, thyroid and endocrine cancers, as well as complex and malignant hematologic disorders. I also provide care for members with benign hematologic conditions.
Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams
I work closely with colleagues across specialties to provide team-based care. I participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, including the Thoracic Tumor Board, where experts from medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, and other specialties work together to develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient’s full range of needs — from diagnosis through survivorship.
Research and Clinical Trials
I am actively involved in advancing cancer care through clinical trials as part of the National Cancer Institute’s Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP). As a sub-investigator, I contribute to national research efforts through partnerships with leading cooperative oncology groups, including:
- SWOG Cancer Research Network
- National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP)
- Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology
- NRG Oncology
Through these collaborations, I help bring innovative and promising therapies to patients in our community.
How I thrive
Outside of my medical practice, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying active through regular exercise to maintain a healthy balance in life.
