About me
Welcome to my Web page. This is a great opportunity for me to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice and myself. I feel honored to be part of the Kaiser Permanente family. It would be my privilege to work with you to help improve your health.
Biography
I was born in India, but moved to the United States when I was just 3 years old. I grew up in Northern Virginia—I still say “y’all” once in a while. My college years were spent at Rutgers University in New Jersey, and I received my medical degree from the University of Virginia. My husband grew up in Southern California, so after we married in 1996, I became a Californian myself. We keep ourselves busy with work, raising our twin daughters, being involved with our parents, and actively engaging in our community.
About my practice
I strongly believe that focusing on healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay well, but I’m also here to take care of you when you’re sick. Kaiser Permanente has a great many resources that we can use to help you live well.
How I thrive
A good work-life balance is very important to me. I truly believe that a person’s emotional well-being is intertwined with their physical well-being. I love being a mother, daughter, wife, and physician. It can be stressful at times trying to balance everything. I make an effort to exercise or walk, and go out once in a while for a girls’ night in order to relieve some of that stress. I’m active in our school and I’m a Girl Scouts troop leader. I also volunteer for local charitable organizations, and try to instill this value in my daughters. My hobbies are photography and scrapbooking, and I also enjoy traveling and movies.
