Welcome to my Web page. I’m pleased to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician anesthesiologist at Kaiser Permanente.
I am originally from the Detroit area, where I obtained my medical degree on a United States Navy scholarship. I served a total of 10 years on active duty with the Navy, which included tours as a Navy flight surgeon, and completion of my anesthesia residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 2006. I’m also proud to have served in a surgical company with the United States Marines in Fallujah, Iraq, from 2007 to 2008.
I joined the Kaiser Permanente family back in 2009. My primary focus in medicine is ensuring that members have the safest and most successful surgical outcomes possible. As physician in charge of the San Marcos Surgery Center and director of the Anesthesia Consultation and Examination Clinic, I have many opportunities to positively impact our members' care. I’m also the director of anesthesia for the Smiles International Foundation—providing cleft lip and palate surgeries for underserved children in Mexico.
Finding my work-life balance is always a challenge, but staying active isn’t difficult with two kids and a busy clinical practice.
