Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. As a parent, I understand the challenges of selecting a physician with whom you feel comfortable and who you are confident will do a good job caring for your child. I believe our physicians here at Kaiser Permanente are qualified to do just that. I am delighted to have this opportunity to introduce myself and share some information about my practice.
I am originally from the East Coast. My family and I moved to Northern California when I was 4 years old. I initially had my sights set on law school, but I volunteered in a pediatric emergency room in Atlanta and discovered my true calling. Since that time, I have dedicated myself to the care of children.
About my practice
In an ideal world, all children would be well and there would be no sickness. Unfortunately, this is not the case. As your pediatrician, I will work diligently with you to keep your children healthy. I encourage you to make routine well-care visits for your family in order to achieve this goal. In the event your child does become ill, we have many resources to assist in his or her care. Our physicians, nurses, and staff work as a team. In the event I am not personally available, please be assured the care of your family is in good hands with my team.
How I thrive
I believe in practicing what you preach. A healthy diet and exercise is important for everyone. The better you take care of yourself, the better we are able to care for you. I usually avoid elevators because a flight or two of stairs is wonderful exercise. I drink three to four bottles of water a day and I limit sodas, juices, and starches. I enjoy walking and dancing with my children. I occasionally skip away to a movie for some personal rest and relaxation. In my spare time, I love outdoor activities and traveling with my husband and children. I also enjoy reading and cooking.
