About me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m a pediatric pulmonologist with a lifelong dedication to holistic, member-centered care. I’ve trained and practiced across the country and now serve as director of the Cystic Fibrosis Program at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center. My approachable style and passion for comprehensive, collaborative care help me support each child and family with warmth, clarity, and the latest medical expertise.
Biography
I grew up in a family of healthcare professionals in Pakistan, where I developed an early interest in medicine and a deep respect for the healing profession. After completing medical school, I moved to Chicago for my residency training and later pursued a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. My personal history with respiratory conditions inspired me to specialize in this field. I’ve since served as a faculty member at UCLA, practiced at the University of New Mexico, and held a private practice in Las Vegas before joining Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles — which I’m proud to call home once again.
About my practice
As director of the Cystic Fibrosis Program at the Los Angeles Medical Center, I lead a multidisciplinary team that includes case managers, dietitians, social workers, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists. I care for children with a wide range of lung conditions, from asthma and chronic cough to complex diseases like bronchopulmonary dysplasia, tracheostomy care, and technology-dependent conditions. I also perform bronchoscopies and interpret lung function tests to provide accurate diagnoses. My goal is to offer compassionate, comprehensive care using the latest medical advancements.
How I thrive
Kaiser Permanente’s commitment to whole-person health — body, mind, and spirit — is a value I practice every day. Family is my top priority, and I strive to maintain a meaningful balance between personal and professional life. I enjoy gardening, exploring nature, and spending time outdoors with my loved ones, especially in local parks. These moments help me stay grounded and renewed.
