About me

Welcome to my Web page! I am so happy to be able to share a little bit about myself. This is a great opportunity for patients to learn about me and my practice and hopefully feel more comfortable and at ease when they have their first appointment.

Biography

I am a Los Angeles native. I attended college and medical school at UCLA, and completed my residency at Harbor-UCLA in Torrance. I worked in San Diego for two years in a community practice group before joining Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. It started for me as a child translating for my grandmother during her doctor visits. I fell in love with Ob/Gyn during medical school. I find it so rewarding to be able to care for women during some of the most important times of their lives. There is no other field of medicine I would rather be in.

About my practice

I practice general obstetrics and gynecology. I think it is extremely important that women have a voice and that their thoughts, desires, and fears regarding their health care are addressed and acknowledged. I believe in giving women the best information I have about their medical conditions, presenting them with their options and helping them make the decision that is right for them. I believe that mind, body and spirit are all connected and together affect all aspects of a woman's total wellness. I am aware that western medicine cannot adequately treat all medical conditions and am open to alternative medical therapies. I encourage patients to contact me via email on Kaiser Permanente.org. I personally respond to all messages and find this a good way to communicate results and answer questions.

How I thrive

I find it very important to balance home, work and personal time. I enjoy running half marathons. I am up at 5:00 a.m. most mornings running with my neighborhood moms. As a mother and wife working full-time, I strive to spend quality time with my family. I enjoy cooking with my two girls, doing arts and crafts and simply scootering around our neighborhood. When not working on Sundays, we go to church as a family and find this helps us get through our busy week. I am a strong believer in positive energy and positive thoughts, and feel this is the key to achieving total wellness.
