About me
Hello, and thanks for stopping by! I am very happy to be able to help people with their medical problems. I enjoy seeing members from all backgrounds in my medical practice and feel I can learn a great deal from different people. I am a proponent of preventive medicine to lower the risks of disease.
Biography
I was born in Taiwan, and came to the United States in 1970. I went to high school in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have served in the United States Navy reserve. I graduated from the School of Medicine at UC San Francisco in 1984. I completed an internship at UC Irvine and then a family medicine residency at the San Bernardino Medical Center in 1988. Additionally, I completed my medical acupuncture studies at the UCLA School of Medicine in 2005. I am board certified by the American Board of Medical Acupuncture as well as the American Board of Family Medicine. I have a lovely wife and three adult children.
About my practice
We have a great team at the Kaiser Permanente Chino Medical Offices. We all aim to achieve the best possible relationships with our members. Our team includes receptionists, medical assistants, nurses, X-ray technicians, lab technicians, administrators, and pharmacy staff. We welcome our Kaiser Permanente members to become an extension of our family away from home. My colleagues and I trust each other and I am so happy that members can expect to get excellent care from them when I am away from the office.
How I thrive
I enjoy exercise, in general, as I like to achieve to the best of my abilities, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I often get up about 5:00 a.m. to go to the gym and put in 40 to 50 minutes of cardio five days per week. I feel it is a great way to get rid of stress and make the rest of the day easier. I earned a black belt in taekwondo in martial arts since 2002. I enjoy doing art projects, which I believe can be an expression of human feeling. I believe I can relate to many members emotionally, and enjoy sharing and helping people very much.
